can this be done? Posted on: 17.02.2013 by Yan Nowick Im trying to use my tscratch pro2 using the connectiv box hack and also a ddj ergo, dicers, and a q49 keyboard.I did the m-audio connectiv hack to make t believes its a audio 8. I do have a REAL version of traktor w serials. I would like to run deck A and B off my control vinyls and C and D off my ergo. I also still wanna use my dicers too as fx buttons or even for scrolling threw folders. Basically I need to know how to map more than 1 usb device for mappings. Im faily new to controllers and mapping in tp2 but getting better. As of right now Im able to use my control vinyls, ergo and dicers, but the fx are the same on the dicers as they are on the ergo so either button is working now. I can also switch bk and forth from timecodes to ergo controlling the decks just by hitting a jog wheel on the ergo. Im old skool and only want to look and touch the laptop if Im looking for a song. I want all the other functions to work and I no, why dont I just use my ergo and make it simple on me....i just cant step away from my turntables tho. I just need pointed in the right direction on what the easiest way to map everything all up like I want. Should I just start making a new mapping from scratch by using generic keyboard? or? | |
Kellie Myrum 18.02.2013 | Controllers are talking to software via MIDI protocol which got 16 channels - in theory, you can map and use up to 16 controllers with one software as long as every controller is mapped in separate MIDI channel. To figure this out load each mapping separately and check this slot in controller manager: ch 5.jpg |

Yan Nowick 18.02.2013 | Im not sure what you mean by channels......The Device Target option in the device setup in controller manager? Also would it just be easier to use the normal mapping for my ergo and change the things I want to to use my dicers and q49 keyboard? |
Kellie Myrum 17.02.2013 | Ad new mapping using generic MIDI not keyboard. Make sure every controller is mapped in different MIDI channel (if possible to change controller's default one) so you don't have conflicts between MIDI massages later on. |
