FX button turns off when releasing one of three buttons

Midi mapping for Traktor.

I've got a custom made midi controller and I'm trying to have three of the buttons turn on the same effect in the FX unit. The difference being that the left most button sets the corresponding knob value to .6, the middle .75 and the right button .85.

By themselves the buttons work as intended, it's when I start to press them in different combinations that they act up. If I press button 1 followed by button 2 and then release button 1 the FX is turned off. I would like it to be kept active since I'm holding down button 2.

I've been searching the community s and couldn't find a guide to what I'm trying to do. I also scoured through Beau Bryte's MF3D mapping hoping I'd see something new, but I couldn't find anything I don't already do.

I do know that it's been done, I just couldn't find it. Point me in the right direction if you know where I should go.

That definitely did the trick for wandering in one direction and it sort of works for going back as well. I have so far only tried with four buttons and I will see if I'll use more later on.
I am not entirely sure whats going on with the modifier but it's working...

Thanks heaps!

There is a way to keep the effect on when walking the buttons in either way.

You can do this for 8 buttons, but as an example I just use 2:
On button 1: Button 1: direct 1
M1: hold: 1
Button 1: Toggle inverted M1 = 1

On button 2: Button 1: direct 1
M1: hold: 2
Button 1: Toggle inverted M1 = 2

I hope you get the idea.

Thank you very much for the answer.

I'll see what I can accomplish with modifiers, but it seems that I might have to practice switching between buttons if I want to go between effect values in both ways.

Far as I know this can be done using modifiers but only while performing it in one direction (ether left to right and vice versa). Did you already post this in community s?
