It seems it's "controller" party this year at NAMM! I currently have a Traktor S2 but would like to sell it and move to mixer+cdj's so I was waiting for NAMM to see if some new mixers or cdj's might be coming out.

Nothing new on the 4channel mixer department?

Haha no kidding... that guitar looks pretty unusable. Moldover should learn a thing or two from Matt Bellamy and Manson guitars.

This is my first year watching the coverage of NAMM. Does the big product reveals normally get spread out throughout the show or is what new stuff we see today probably going to be it?

Agreed - I had gone off all-in-one controllers but the Pio DDJ SX & now the new NS7 are very tempting - love the look of the new NS7 especially ....

I really believe Livid have out done themselves here

And an in-browser editor. Does that mean no crappy config hardware is required? Hooray!
IMO that thing would be a beast for Traktor! The way I look at it its either 3/4 of a X1 (per half), or 2 F1's put together, with touch strips and velocity pads... on one bank...

80lbs for the NS7 (in a case w' wheels) is still lighter than (2) Techs & a DJM-800/900 in individual cases...or all in a coffin.

Say what you will about the NS7 MKII's weight, but that "controller" screams quality.

the DDJ SX is big but light witch makes it (kinda) portable while NS7 II is heavy and not something I would like to carry around.

Oh yeah, totally. Just if you're controlling more then 8 software faders knobs and faders are a pain in the ass.

If they were offering x-y control then I would be all over it.

But I guess you could say I haven't really tried any touch products yet. I just enjoy the feel of a nice filter knob.

I totaly agree the DDJ SX is big but light witch makes it (kinda) portable while NS7 II is heavy and not something I would like to carry around.
Touch sensetive eq you will need a modifier of shift comand to deside between the 2 options. Only thing I like better on the NS7 II over the DDJ SX is the touch strip with LED's to show posision of song.
Of all the Numark devices Orbit looks like something I could add to my setup and for $99 heck give me 2 of them.
The Gemini G4V looks more apealing to me then the NS7 II

Those Akai Headphones look pretty freaking solid

The wireless active speaker systems look pretty nice too, ideal for weddings/parties where running cables can be a evening mare.

I'm not really a fan of this as you are going to trigger the touch switches anytime you use the eq's. It could definitely make sense on effect specific knobs and I really liked the idea for the novation nocturn until I found out it didn't work that way, but in numarks own words "you can use your imagination" that pretty much means 'we don't really know what this would be good for, but it's there so buy it'

I made it up, it's not real

http://www.inmusicbrands.com/wnamm2013/ <- links to various companies there. The M-Audio stuff looks nice.

The Akai mini sampler is pretty cool. I can see it making a nice addition to a pure vinyl setup
