Beat phase monitor help
Beat phase monitor help Posted on: 03.01.2014 by Oswaldo Appeldorn Hello,I tried to map 4 pad on the beat monitor and it work like a charm with: Beat phase monitor: Button 1 (-0.50 ; -0.25) Button 2 (-0.25 ; 0.00) Button 3 (0.00 ; 0.25) Button 4 (0.25 ; 0.50) But now i try to map 8 pad for the same thing... How can i do this.. Thanx | |
Charline Dye 29.01.2014 | Ah Ha! That's what I thought. It has been awhile since I read all the gears and virtual midi routing info, but I knew it was possible. I'm a little suprised that I haven't tried this as I love to make pointless led mappings. I like watching the pretty lights |

Charline Dye 28.01.2014 | I believe there is a way in osx to make virtual midi ports via the audio/midi app. Give it a Google. |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 28.01.2014 | Thank you for that i will, try it, but there is no midi yoke on mac what will you recommend to use please? |
Charline Dye 27.01.2014 | I haven't taken the time to try out any routing of messages out and back in to Traktor. Maybe one day. At the moment, I am working on too many mappings. I really need to finish one before starting another, but I aquired a MF 3D and couldn't wait to start mapping it. Stewe, don't you have a method for what the OP wants? I see the livid? controller in your videos with a beat sequence of buttons like the OP was asking about. |

Gretta Krotz 13.01.2014 | really takes some fine tunning |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 13.01.2014 | Oh okay, i saw one with the vci 300 on bome's midi translator but we should have a preset files, i don't know how to make one for my controller actually.. |
Charline Dye 13.01.2014 | No, not. Lemur. I believe I've heard "Midi pipe" or some such thing. There's got to be a thread on it somewhere on DJTT, maybe a blog article, but it has been quite awhile since I remember seeing it. |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 13.01.2014 | Thank you, i really would like to know what software to use i hope its not lemur lol |
Charline Dye 12.01.2014 | I haven't done it, but as Yul said it involves another program to read the output from Traktor and route it back to Traktor. Stewe knows how, as it can be seen in a lot of his videos. |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 12.01.2014 | Come on people it's not possible to do in traktor? |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 10.01.2014 |
Exactly like that. |

Ie: you need to have traktor to read its own beat output so you can create an automatic incrementing (cycling) modifier system. Don't have time to explain that right now (mainly because I don't really remember how to do it) but I'm sure someone could help here. |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 07.01.2014 | I've tried and it's faster...Maybe i should use another thing to output light what will you recommend except the beatphase? what i really is to have one light that blink one time on the 8 pads on beat like the ddj sx slicer. |

i am not getting that number system setting can anyone knowledgeable would throw some light on it so i may understand it well
In Onetidd first example on 4 pads, the defined range will light each of those in turn within a range of one beat. A bit like that on this s4's sample buttons On 8 pads like he wants to do he needs to define 8 chunks by dividing that range, but it's the same principle. |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 04.01.2014 | Sorry here is the correct number: 1: -0.50000 -0.37500 2: -0.37500 -0.25000 3: -0.25000 -0.12500 4: -0.12500 -0.00000 5: 0.00000 0.12500 6: 0.12500 0.25000 7: 0.25000 0.37500 8: 0.37500 0.50000 |

Oswaldo Appeldorn 04.01.2014 | I found that: 1: -0.50 -0.375 2: -03.75 -0.2.50 3: -0.250 -0.125 4: -0.125 -0 0 5: 0 0.125 6: 0.125 0.250 7: 0.250 0.375 8: 0.375 0.500 |

Oswaldo Appeldorn 03.01.2014 | sorry it work now, is there a way to get it slower please? |
Oswaldo Appeldorn 03.01.2014 | wow it seems to be hard as i don't know how to get the good number.. |
Kellie Myrum 03.01.2014 | Divide the range in to eight step sequence. 1 ..... -5 2 3 4 ......... 0 5 6 7 8 ..... 5 |
