Dorie Scelzo 19.12.2010 | They're kinda cool, but you do need a fader (in a mixer) to be able to scratch well. So, if you go that route, you also have to get a mixer, which is getting close to the 2-decks + mixer setup you wanted to avoid |
Dorie Scelzo 18.12.2010 | You want to look at the Numark NS7 and the Vestax VCI-300. I believe the NS7 would be a bit over your budget. To record the scratching in Live, you just run Itch and Live on the same computer and use a virtual sound card (like soundflower on OS X) to send it's audio to Live |

Albina Califano 31.01.2013 | Reloop has also very nice controllers, with good prices! |
Ena Nouri 30.01.2013 | I assume you are not going to scratch like crazy but just adding some scratch sound to your mix right? If that's the case many controllers can do the trick. Tho like what others mentioned above, the VCI-300 with itch is probably your best option. However, if you wish to use traktor then I'd say get the kontrol s2. |

Albina Califano 06.02.2011 | digital scratch with Vestaxc VCI-100 |
Margarita Reinig 20.12.2010 | @tyfurious: yeah I thought about the otus before, but I've read that the platter isn't great...the vci-300 seems like a pretty nice option though! |

Melinda Shick 19.12.2010 | Surely he could map a button for cross fader jumping? Edit: Already said, nvm |

Gilma Marchini 19.12.2010 | Use pinky, get a turntable. Someone in the show your setup thread uses that, I tried that out, and I really liked it. Edit: for a fader a nocturn from novation would work. |
