Firmware Update (Gemini CDJ-700)
Firmware Update (Gemini CDJ-700) Posted on: 28.09.2012 by Erich Vallabhaneni Hello, my CDJ just got a new firmware update released, how do I go about applying it since I use it independent from my computer? I know this is a simple question but my CDJ knowledge is limited since I'm new to them. Thanks | |

Nila Ragonese 10.02.2013 | Put the update in the main folder of a USB stick. place it in the CDJ. Enter USB mode and then follow the instructions on screen. If your unit doesn't see the update make sure the file is a .gci file type. |
Leota Dolney 09.01.2013 | Contact Gemini for support. I would guess you have to put on a USB stick, plug the USB stick into the player, then turn it on..may need to navigate the menu to find the upgrade...but contact Gemini tech support for help. |
Ralph Alderette 09.01.2013 | I tried.. but no dice for me. maybe I did it wrong. It was easy enough for me to use the USB drive so I didn't mind too much. I honestly thought the USB was just for MIDI, but I'm probably wrong. |
Yong Aptekar 08.01.2013 | Can you not plug the cdj into your computer, install the firmware, and unplug? |
Ralph Alderette 08.01.2013 | did you figure it out? I just got mine today and had to do it myself.. no help on the gemini site. Put the update on a disc or usb. Turn on the CDJ, insert the media you've put the update on. If its USB (what I did) then hit the USB button on the top right, it will find the update automatically. Select the update with the scroll wheel, all set. Same with CD. Select CD, etc |
Erich Vallabhaneni 28.09.2012 | nah its a Gemini CDJ-700 |
Ciara Cuttill 28.09.2012 | if its a cdj 2000 / 900 ... |
