Unable to put S4 in MIDI mode--help? Posted on: 08.02.2012 by Shaina Brazzell I'm trying to do so in order to manually map the S4 for use in ableton, and i can't even get the first step down--putting it into MIDI mode itself. I understand you have to put it in MIDI by pressing the SHIFT+Browse buttons on the S4, and the message ON should display in the loop recorder to show it's in MIDI mode--i press shift/browse and it does nothing. Any ideas why i'm an idiot? | |

Nedra Fresneda 09.02.2012 | You don't turn on all of them, just Track if you are planning on working with regular MIDI notes (ie using your s4 to play a synth or a drum rack) an Remote for CCs (knobs and stuff. Sync only applies if you are trying to allign MIDI clocks. |
Era Roka 09.02.2012 | You have to pres shift-hold it- press the brouwse button (not the encoder!) and go to this screen if you are there you select (set them to ON) al the three options (TRACK, SYNC & REMOTE) that are placed behind TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 and then it's time to map! |
Maybelle Mongiardo 09.02.2012 | Im not sure I am trying to do the exact same thing that you are and mine goes into midi mode. make sure you are pressing shift + browse at the same time.. and make sure your s4 is plugged in to power... other than that I have no idea... but even when I get it into midi mode I still cannot map it ... I am having a lot of problems as well with this someone help!!!! |
