Seriously considering S2... Posted on: 12.02.2012 by Hortencia Eggerding but I really love me some filters. I realize you can swap the gain/filter but how well does an endless clicky encoder really work for something like a filter. Any opinions you guys??? | |

Monty Strauder 13.02.2012 | Sorry for my Bad english, i will write a little bit more when iam at home... in 2-3 hours (and test it in my S4) Hey Guys, i testet it with a EQ knob, and i have to say: Sorry Guys it dosent work. We can not neutralize the knob function of the default mapping... so the only way u can do is to use the Gain encoder (to disable the function u will finde a manuel in the community or at traktorbible homepage)... maybe there is a extra function in the preferences -> Jogwheel -> Filter ?!? (with the S4 you can choose a Jogwheel FX mode or a jogwheel filter mode) and again sorry, my english is soooooooooooooo bad |
Dani Schellhorn 13.02.2012 | I believe you need to explain in further detail. Your english wasn't too good. |
Monty Strauder 13.02.2012 | Hey Guys, iam not a S2 owner but i got an S4 and know the Mapping Problem (if u want to use the NHL mode). If u want to add a normal Filter (not a FX Filter) so u have to disable a knob and remap them. i believe the Gain encoder is not the best knob for the filter function. i would take the low EQ knob. U have to disable them, so for example on the low filter knob u have to add a -> Low EQ inverted with 25% (i believe) and a Modifier M1=0! Then Map anywhere a Modifier Button (shift?) and map the Filter to this knob in M1=1... i believe this have to work. any questtions so write it |
Dani Schellhorn 13.02.2012 | Can someone explain to me how to re-map the clicky filter to another one of the fx buttons? I don't use them all so will happily give one up for it. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 13.02.2012 | Hi. Sorry did not want to start another thread as this along the line. got the awesome filter on my xone 22 which i use fairly often and love. But has anybody else dumped their external mixer and switched over to the s2? Any regrets besides the filters? pro feel? cheers |
Jarod Perrodin 12.02.2012 | The S2 is awesome, I love it. My map sorts the clicky filters. If its only the clicky filters you want changing, its easy enough to do |
Carola Divalerio 12.02.2012 | I have no issues with the filter click at all. I use the filter a lot as well. As far as the S2 - Its a great kit. I have owned other controllers and so far this is all I need. Plus the size is not bad and I love the jog wheels. |
Arlinda Finazzo 12.02.2012 | I don't play with filter too much, but one thing I did notice when playing around with it... the click when turning didn't bother me too much, but it was fairly easy to press down (click in) and cause it to reset to 0. That would be my only concern. But you could always remap it to different knobs... or use it in one of the FX banks instead of as the one with the mixer. |
