Is it possible to plug in a guitar into the kontrol s2 Posted on: 05.05.2012 by Rosalva Corn After looking at Moldover's talk about the Kontrol F1, I got an idea. However, how did he record the guitar? Did he just plug in the guitar into the mic socket in the s4 (i will be using an s2), then record in a software where he can save short tracks e.g. garage band. or, did he have another way, if so, please tell me. Even if he may not use the controller to record, is it still possible to record a guitar? If not, is it possible to buy an adaptor? | |

Rosalva Corn 07.05.2012 | Thank all so much, I will still buy the s2, but may have a look at an interface if the recordings arnt good enough for my liking, thanks again! |
Era Roka 06.05.2012 | totally possible |
Nedra Fresneda 06.05.2012 | While it's not the best interface for it, yes it can be done using the 1/4 input on the back. Personally I used the S4's one until I bought my Saffire soundcard with a bass guitar. The first problem you will encounter is that if you plug in the guitar directly (without an amp) you will get low gain and as a result, a high noise interference, this will translate to every process you apply to it later on. My suggestion is to save some cash for a proper interface. |
Jame Shelling 05.05.2012 | You can record the live input as far as i remember |
Valeri Holderness 05.05.2012 | as far as I know, you cannot record live input into traktor (I could be wrong though). Most likely he recorded his guitar in studio or into another software (like audacity) and then brought the recording into traktor and made samples out of it. |
