Any guys like to share their thoughts on this soundcard? I can only go USB as no firewire port

Build quality is fine. It's plastic, but very hard plastic. Good size, feels solid, great price. It does not have MIDI-In though.

Well, most MIDI controllers use USB(2.0) nowadays.

Build quality is fine. It's plastic, but very hard plastic. Good size, feels solid, great price. It does not have MIDI-In though.

definitely need soundcard to be able to headphone cue, as well as midi ports for my microkorg to compose with etc.

Well it depends... isn't the Vestax hooked up by USB too?

In that case you can easily do with a Numark DJ|iO.

Probably any will do, because you would just be adding the option of prelistening through the external soundcard.

cheers tekki i need a decent usb 2.0 card which i can use to dj with, with midi ports so when im home i can compose. any suggestions?

Use a soundcard on USB2.0. Especially with your PC laptop.

Edirol is nice. But do decide what you would like to see on a soundcard. And weigh prices against specs.
