Pretty much - there is not alot jog wheels are useful for nowadays. Alot of Jog wheels functions can be performed better with buttons.
That said - i personally believe its nice to have a single jog wheel though.

Why would you want jogs?

It's still in construction. I'm in the retail management business, so i've been working 80+ a week, and will be untill after christmas. So look for the completed project in... hopefully... February 2009

I'm new here but i want to know if this ever got made??

I'm looking to combine 2 of these controllers together to make a controller for ableton live/traktor.

Would love to hear from the author if it ever got finished.

That is a pretty nice chip you are using. Kind of wished I would have found it earlier. I ended up going the Ean way, add another unwanted step. Looks like you are on the path to a smooth construct.

True true, somewhat like the Otus and the SCS.1d. It would be good for that extra touch.

Yeah i really would hardly ever use them. But now i'm pretty sure i'm throwing on 2 more Faders for pitch control.

I'm setting it up for Traktor.

There are a couple issues i have to work out before i'll have the finished design. But i'll keep it up to date, and yeah i'll get the total cost together.

Right now i'm believeing about integrating jog wheels??

I'm looking forward to seeing some results as well.

Btw, I don't know if you are also using Traktor but you might want to add another knob for each deck under those 4 buttons. That would allow you to control the effects completely.

PS: Could you keep track of the total cost of your project?
