Accelerometers
Accelerometers Posted on: 02.01.2009 by Yuonne Cauthron The really nice ones have 3 axis (ADXL330). So that means you need 3 analog ports to plug into.Anyone had good experience with these types of things outside of a wiimote? I'd like to build a wristband with an accelerometer (with it's sensor on my middle finger like a ring.) I believe it'd be wicked to control effects with the wave of a hand. But I'm curious as to how possible it'd be... Thoughts? With my obsession with all things wireless, I was believeing about gutting a wireless joystick for the job. (I believe most joysticks have 3-4 analog sensors, am I right?) Seems like it'd be a simple cut and paste job. | |

Yuonne Cauthron 02.01.2009 | herm...looks like arduino is probably my better option. Would be faster and easier to implement. Looks like it even has some simple plug and play options! |
