s. Thanks to ean and all you mods who put in so much time!But I need some advice. I'm just about to get started with DJing and am going to try my luck with Ableton. I'm wondering what controller/sound card combination you'd all recommend. I love the idea of a Korg Zero 4 but it uses firewire, which my Alum Macbook doesn't have But anyways, I have about $1000 to spend and need a solution that is adaptable to whatever DJ style I end up going with. I've looked at the Akai APC 40 some, but I'm not sure it'll really be the best for DJing. Is there something else that is popular that I should look into? Thanks! | |

| Branden Kern 21.03.2009 | Vestax VCM-600 sexy ass piece of gear...it built just for Ableton and looks exactly like it would on screen with sends/returns and eq knobs etcetc... it all depends on which direction you want to take your DJing..i mean if you just want to do it for fun then you can just buy a controller and use ASIO4ALL sound driver...you can cue via usb sound card and have master out plugged into some good speakers via your laptop soundcard or vice versa... But if you really need a soundcard I know alot of ppl on the community would suggest the Presonus Firebox..and also you'll get a mixed opinions on whether or not to get a soundcard thats built into your controller... |
