QWERTY to MIDI
QWERTY to MIDI Posted on: 25.03.2009 by Dj Gjaka Heya guys, I need a bit of guidance on a control issue.I am a long way from being able to afford a MIDI keyboard, but I'm trying to put my energies into doing some home production work using Cubase 4 LE. I'm believeing of getting my hands on a usb QWERTY keyboard and modding it a bit to use for playing VSTis without having to draw everything into the piano roll. So obviously I need a keystroke to MIDI converter. I can't afford Bome's Pro (I believe I read the comparison correctly. It is Pro and not Classic that will do keystroke -> MIDI, yes?) and tried looking through the "Midi Controllerism Software" thread [http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...ht=keystrokes] Out of the keyboard software listed I believe this has what I'm looking for: http://www.granucon.com/vmk.html - though I believe I'm correct in saying that I will need a Midi patch to patch it into Cubase? So really, I'm just looking to have any incorrect assumptions in my above ideas to be corrected. And any tips would be muchos appreciated! Thanks guys & gals. | |
