For this project I want to create a controller which is able to controll a majority of the controls on Traktor. i was wondering If anyone could give me an insight to how many Buttons, Pots and sliders would be necessary. The controller isn't going to be used for the mixing side of the fence but more for cueing, loops and effects, any help would be grand.

Hi guys totally new to the whole controllerism scene but I have been a DJ for 6 years and thought I needed a bit of a progression.

Any way I'm about rip apart an Edirol PCR50 to create a custom controller and am just wondering about the note keys on the keyboard and whether they can be mapped to control functions in tractor. My whole aim is to create a controller which doesn't resemble the keyboard at all so I am jacking onto the pads for the keys and replacing them with buttons. It should be an interesting build so I will keep you all posted on my progress.
