vci 300 froze up again
Posted on: 15.07.2009 by Len Scelzo
Hi everyone i decided to share with u my previous gig experience.
So here we go I am back to the club where my vci 300 was freezing the last month.
I am packed with all the possible things to prevent it from freezing like
mac pro with 4 gigs, external power adapter, golden plated usb cable with ferrite, monster rca cables with ferrite as well, SOFT PAD UNDER THE VCI and power filter.
This week i was playing along and when my fellow dj turned the freaking fog machine on my vci froze again. The music did not stop what so ever but i could not control my vci at all.
So right away i realized that something is up with that fog machine and when it is on it conflicts with my vci which creates interference.
So i told my buddy dj that while i am spinning i am turning the fog machine off and thats it. So once i turned it off everything worked perfectly fine.
So just the warning for all of you digital dj's watch out for such thing things like that because it can throw u off the track and u gonna have a bad gig like a month ago i did, believeing that my vci broke at all. but apparently the fog machine was an issue.
