Since the 500.

I own 2 800's now.

You can't beat the grooved, rubber pots. They're similar to what Ean is selling for the upgrade to the VCI-100. Seriously.

Uhm...am I missing something here?

I guess for what you do Bento, then this makes sense. But in reality you have more 'analog' style features with this than you do with a vci-100 or a korg zero4.

i like horses for courses.

Oh, I'm not really a fan tbh, I've always found them to feel really cheap and nasty. I've got an 100SE and I wouldn't really say the knobs were that similar past being black and besides which it's the pots that are the important bit. Out of all the major manufacturers at that price point I'd say they had the worst faders/pots.

Still; YMMV, horses for courses, etc.

I agree on the VCM-600 or a zero 4, this really needs more knobs for effects? and buttons for triggering.

Am i the only one that gets disappointed by pioneer's recent releases? Yes I was stoked and drooled over the cdj-1000 first came out, and i do remember the days the djm-600 and efx-500 came out in the late 20th century and they shocked and impressed the world for many years to come. but now their products seem to be a bland rehash of their previous technologies. I for one would love to see a cdj platter style midi controller with a vci-100 layout, audio interface and mixer w/ phono/line ins for vinyl and or traktor scratch. That would be drool material for me.
