Hiya

Few questions, while my VCI has been back in Germany being fixed after my mistake while trying to upgrade the firmware, I have been reading up on all the new types of mixers midi controllers so on so forth, come across the new Xone 4D..

bit of background used to be a Vinyl DJ back in the mid 90's but quit due to real life and women getting in the way but I came back a few months ago and picked up a macbook + VCI and got started again, at the end of this year me and the missus are buying a house, so I will have lots of space to get my TT's and Vinyl back out and I want to have a mixer which allows me for now to digitally mix on 4 decks along with adding my TT's and anything else going forward, thought i would come to the best place and ask, what your opinions are of the Xone 4D?

yes for the time being it's purely going to be at home, mainly so I can use 4 decks and on top of that when I move and have the space so I can set my TT's up and run them through the other channels

like you I don't use the jog wheels much on the VCI so i doubt that will be a problem, i might be asking for assistance once it arrives though! ;-)

Can't help with the xone 4D, but If I was you I'd be inclined to get traktor scratch / ssl rather than reverting back to actual vinyl... I used to have SSL with my 1210's & ddm 4000 (before I sold them) and loved it!
