Because we can..

We all have our different ways when djing, yes i could buy a Xone and map the hell out of it.. But it will still have that "new car" smell all over it, and no personality..

Here i can build a controller that fits my needs and on my demands..
And i have something no one else have..
Good answer! :P

A few questions though.

How are you going to do the jog-wheels?
As far as I'm aware the umc32 does not support endless encoders.
I will still use the VCI-100 to jog, faders, button, LED, knobs..
The UMC32 will be used to the last 12 potmeters, i need to complete my layout..

Also how do you turn on FX1 / FX2 on the deck?
I will turn them on/off directly on the screen, when needed.

And I'm not sure how you could map the loop in / out to the same button in Traktor - may be possible to program the umc though.
It works on my VCI-100 SE, with one button. It automaticly loops 8 beats, when pressed, and the loop-length be adjusted with the Loop-size knob.

Are any of the buttons LED or any LEDs anywhere?
Using the button LED functions from VCI-100, but with new plate-mounted buttons, with build-in LED. Still searching for the perfect ones..
Everything is taken from the VCI-100 and placed in the new frontplate.
So i have a whole lot of soldering to do, when wiring every button and LED..

I like the idea of a rotary pitch control
Hope i will to, but i have to live with it :-)

Forgot to tell the idea of using 4CH..

I have 2 Pioneer CDJ-400, and they will be connected via HID, and controlled with Deck C and D..
In the upperleft corner, i have 2 buttons called Input Deck C and D, and will be used to
switch between Internal use and Audio through, so i still will be able to play a CD, and still have the filter and EQ in Traktor playing audio..
Should proberly add 2 buttons to switch the whole EFX section.. ex EFX on Deck A to Deck C, when pressed.. Hmm..
