VCI-100 + extral controller for Effects etc?
VCI-100 + extral controller for Effects etc? Posted on: 18.10.2009 by Cathie Sochacki I just bought a VCI-100SE - can't wait till it's delivered, I just had a quick play with a friends and loved it. A criticism one person had about the VCI is that it does not have enough faders and sliders etc for other things that traktor has like effects etc etcI have an M-Audio Evolution UC33e - which you can use for controlling traktor but I much prefer the DJ like feel of the VCI-100 - however I was believeing of keeping it and using the UC33 alongside the VCI-100. I'm wondering if anyone else has a similar setup of the VCI-100 with another controller to do extra things in traktor? I know I can midi map anything but what would you recommend it be best used for? Just trying to get a few ideas on what to do before it all arrives! Thanks - suggestions or comments appreciated. | |

Madeline Rega 19.10.2009 | I was just about to start a thread with the same topic. I've had my VCI-100 for about a month now and I'm beginning to notice the shortcomings in certain areas...especially FX, now that you have the capability of running 4 modules. I was believeing about buying an Akai LPD8 Laptop Pad Controller, for both price and portability. Those pots would be great for extra FX without toggling back and forth, and I was believeing the pads could be mapped to cue points 5-8. |
Hertha Fang 18.10.2009 | yea, a vci +uc33 should work beautifully for fx and even mixing with 4 decks. enjoy! |
