USB replacement
Posted on: 19.11.2009 by Lettie Bosanac
My USB in/out broke on my Axiom25 after 2 or 3 long years of play. I was wondering if anyone has had a successful USB replacement in a controller? I wasn't sure if I could rip off the broken one and just solder a new bad boy on this thing. I can use midi out still but at times I prefer USB.

talk to me about computers and I could help you out. As far as my hardware modding goes, I am huge into paint jobs and vynal wraps being a graphic designer/printer. I have made my own pseudo turntable out of an old cd player and I have replaced parts on my old cassette multitrack. Never midi controller though.

yeh you wont damage anything as long as you dont leave the soldering iron on to long. just be as quick as possible so you dont melt the pcb.

That's what I thought Thanks. Just checking so I didn't heat damage the usb/midi board.

yep you can just desolder it and slap a new one on. Its a straight forward fix.
