need some tech experts advice Posted on: 23.11.2009 by Domonique Ahuna i am currently using a numark total control for my mixer. i really want to have true 4 deck control without spending a ton of money on an allen and heath. i was believeing about buying another total control and somehow joing the 2 boards together and putting them in a new housing to act as one unit. is this possible? if so what would i need to do it as far as hardware and software? | |

Monet Yucel 24.11.2009 | yep, Traktor can utilise multiple midi devices so as long as the software that you use to convert from HID to midi doesn't get confused you're all go. |
Domonique Ahuna 24.11.2009 | Sorry for the add on but would it be safe to say this same concept would apply for game pads? |
Domonique Ahuna 24.11.2009 | Thx ninja, that's what I thought would be the easiest thing but I wasn't sure about using a hub and having them act as one controller. So basically I'm going to pull the boards out of thier current casings connect them with a USB hub and put them in a new housing. Any recommendations on a custom housing and faceplate for them? |
Monet Yucel 23.11.2009 | Easiest way would be to plug them both in and remap the midi. If you wanted 1 single unit dont pull them appart but mount them i a case and use a USB hub, 1 unit with 1 usb cord, bingo. |
