Vci 100 Crossfader acting crazy...broken?
Posted on: 02.12.2009 by Mel Manelski
Hi

i got a used vci 100 (black, FW 1.2) and heavily used it in the last 4 days with traktor pro and the djtt mapping 2.5.
it worked perfectly until today

Today suddenly the crossfader started to act crazy.
In the left position the crossfader seems to send midi signals non stop.
In Traktor the Crossfader moves and jumps around even its completely moved left on the vci.
The problem only appears at the left side of the crossfader.

I already opened the vci and had a look at the fader. Could not see any visual damage on it.

Any ideas?

edit: sorry for the blurry video quality

Clean the crossfader! Happened to mine before, there should be posts on this community or even youtube vids on how to do this. Dirt gets caught down in the crossfader thats the prob
