Quick question about the Xone 42
Posted on: 09.12.2009 by Waneta Helzer
Hey guys,

New to all this so excuse my lack of knowledge!

Been utilising my Xone 1D as a mixer sofar, finally got the cash to get a real mixer now! Got my eyes set on the Xone 42, and was reading that 2 channels are line and the other 2 are phono. Does that mean that i can only use the phono channels for turntables, and NOT for 4 deck mixing in traktor (if i ever get that far) ? So if i dont use turntables it is essentally a 2 channel mixer?

Thanks for your help!

I accept with information: you can use all 4 channels as Line channels, so yes, four channel mixing in Traktor is possible . Only 2 channels can be used as phono though.

I have the Xone:42 and love it! And of cause you can use all 4 channels as Line channels, so yes, four channel mixing in Traktor is possible (if you have a four output channel soundcard). Only 2 channels can be used as phono though.

Anyway, go for it. Its a great mixer!
