Cueing: Audiofire 4 / Audio 8 DJ
Posted on: 13.12.2009 by Pamala Futrelle
Hello Everybody,

This is my first post here. I've just ordered a VCI-100 arcade edition and I am looking for a good soundcard able to manage 4 decks on Traktor.
I was keen on the Audiofire 4, but after reading the Djranking s review I am a little bit confused about the cueing system. I will be mixing internally, and I thought it was possible to switch between the decks to cue just via Traktor. If I understand correctly, this is not possible instead.
Is there a soundcard that allows to manage the cueing via this software? An Audio 8 DJ for instance? Or even with it you need to use the switch on the front panel?

Many thanks,

Michele

Congrats on you new sound card. I have the 8 and love it. They are undistructible and easy to setup in Taktor.

You only need an Audio8 if you plan on going the timecode route. For Internal mixing any 4 output card will do the trick. The Audio4 would be your best bet. You can monitor straight off the card, or plug the second channel into a mixer and monitor off that.
