19" selfmade arcade-monster
19" selfmade arcade-monster Posted on: 03.01.2010 by Hugo Olivieri your arcade-button mods inspired me very much! i built this controller december 2008-february 2009. the interface is made for ableton live. i have a 4 track-based setup. i render my tracks to 4 groups: bass, drums, instruments and vocals. on the left side you can see the 4-track setup with start, stop, solo and effects for each track. the middle part controls the master channel (navigation & effects). the buttons on the right are used to trigger samples and additional effects. i used a 19" flightcase, closing the top transforms it to a... case when akai released the apc i was a bit shocked because they created a machine that is doing what i wanted my controller to do but of course with a lot more possibilities. the biggest disadvantage seems to be the lack of visual feedback- even though i didn`t have any problems with that while performing. i hope you like my controller- if anyone is interested i can post more pictures and information. please visit me on www.myspace.com/symbiz to check out my music | |

Shay Wyche 10.01.2010 | Looks like you have yourself a nice little workshop there. What do you do for work, electronics? Very neat wiring, I'm impressed. Was the front panel cut out on a CNC machine? |
Anette Botek 10.01.2010 | Fresh... thanks for letting us in on what microcontroller you used... I was also believeing of using the led arcade buttons on a design I'm working on, but still not sure how much visual reference I really need... |

Omer Chudoba 07.01.2010 | Anymore process pictures?! this is so amazing |
juan garcia 07.01.2010 | props to making it midi in/out instead of usb i like the design and layout, the one thing i would try, at least for some of the buttons, would be clear arcade buttons with an programmable LED under it. I'm guessing that is something you could experiment with down the road if you so desired. did you take any pics of the insides? is that a footswitch input on doepher |
Lilliana Perris 07.01.2010 | Yes!! Video's!!!....or it did not happen! |
Cristian Carmona 07.01.2010 | nice controller, and videos using it? |
Laurel Litchko 07.01.2010 | i wish i had the patience to learn how to do this sort of thing |
Shay Wyche 07.01.2010 | Fantastic bit of gear. This deserves more than one response. |
