Question about TS pro and ableton live
Posted on: 14.01.2010 by Thersa Kurbis
Hi,

i read the article about syncing ts pro and ableton live.
But i want both programs on one pc. Im using midi yoke for midi syncing.
When i press the sync button at ts pro, ableton gets an signal, but the bpm jumps all the time at ableton, but why?

bridge is a collab between ableton and serato implementing live into serato..

there is no real good solution atm to get good midi clock sync between traktor pro and ableton right now. supposedly serato+ableton via the bridge will solve this issue with a new protocol. maybe traktor will adopt this as well, but i wouldnt hold my breath. if you need variable bpm support between a dj app and ableton it looks like the bridge will soon be the best solution.

It shouldn't be jumping more than a couple bpm here and there, it's kinda the nature of the midi clock signal from Traktor. If you have your clock delay set up right in Live, playing a Live clip over a Traktor track should sound fine, you don't really hear any wavering.
