Stupid ground wire,... I want you gone,... I had a friend of mine explain to me how he made his ground wire run through his RCA cables on his turntables. All it took was a screw driver, new cables and a little bit of solder. This was about 10 years ago, before "control vinyl".
I'm now looking at my RCA plugs that are gray and dark red due to being plugged in and out so much. Both my grounds on each of my turntables are just bare wire. And there a bitch to wrap around the ground connections on my mixer. I'm believeing seriously about trying out the mod and eliminating the ground wire when I go in to replace the RCA's. I'm only worried that this will screw up my signal for the time code.
Can anyone lead me to a GOOD video or instructional on how to perform this mod? I've seen a few on youtube and found a couple instructions here and there off google. But I haven't found anyone that explains it even half as well as an "Ean" instructional.
And does anyone have any feed back on removing the ground wire from a piece of gear
?Good or bad I would love to hear your story on the issue. |
