Just Picked Up An X1 for my Timecode Rig. Posted on: 20.02.2010 by Antonia Dodgens Just tested out my new kontrol x1 and i have to say for anyone out there looking to get one and kinda iffy about it...dont be....this is a great controller. i love its size because i put it right between my mixer and turntable and it sits there perfectly without any knobs or buttons being hard to reach. the standard mapping is great and gives you ALOT of control over traktor. Most importantly for me tho, running a timecode setup with only one deck, the X1 allows me to not have to deck copy. I cant just mix in the other track internally using the controls on the X1 with no problem at all. And you can actually use the pitch bend and tempo + - functions to manually beatmatch as i do on my turntable. If anyone else here is using a single deck timecode setup, this little guy is the answer to more "kontrol." i could go on forever about how effecient the x1 one is but ill spare you all | |
