What the hell do I buy?

Im basicly a cut and paste + beatrepeat remixer who plays glitch-hop/dub pretty straight forward 2 channel style in TSP when I play out. I had a Arcade edition til it was stolen, My only complain with the arcade was im a big guy and it felt kinda small and looked kinda dinky in the booth next to a 4d and Now that im gonna get new gear I can't decide what to get.... Build another arcade or a xone 2d (mix internally) or midifighter(as a cue box) + $400 vestax mixer and audio 4 card....Do i break the bank and set the plastic on fire and shell out the extra 500 for the A&H DX? Do I get an Otus? (mixing internally on that doesnt look fun)

My concerns with the 1d/2d are the line faders. I havent played with a 2d and the faders dont look like I could slam them up like tradition DJ fader and i'd probably want to cue with the bottom 4 row of buttons.. how are those buttons??

Really like the prospect of just flopping the 2d down between the mixer and decks when i go out though...

i just jumped on two X1's and Xone 42 and I have not looked back.

you could do a similar set up and just take the X1's with you when playing out and use the house mixer. Would be more versatile than a DX. probably cheaper as well.

No issues with the line faders I can assure you. As for the bottom row of buttons they're ok, not awesome but fine still. Soundcard is real good quality. Nice thing about the 2d is the second layer you could map to double the controls available.

The Dx doesn't really makes sense in your case as it would be 'quite' bulky and if you wanna hook up external decks the sound will have to pass through your software (as it's not an analogue mixer). But it is a great unit anyway.
