Which Speakers to Buy
Which Speakers to Buy Posted on: 18.05.2010 by Dana Ordinario I finally convinced the wife to let me blow a few hundred bucks on some speakers and I am unsure as what to get. I have been looking at the KRK Rokit which are more for home use but I do want to start djing small private parties so should I look at getting some kind of PA setup? Anyone have any suggestions for around 500$. Here is what I'm leaning towards now is 2 KRK Rokit 6 and then later on picking up the Sub made by KRK. Thanks alot mates for the info | |

Al Henger 19.05.2010 | As far as thumps go: the Tapco's are the same as the Mackies, but I expect you can find them for cheaper/used due to the tapcos being discontinued to make room for the mackie line. |

Miloje Savic 19.05.2010 | check the b52 matrix v1000, thumps, QSC k series.. |
Maritza Lefevers 19.05.2010 | Studio monitors will not project properly and you'll end up turning them up too loud and blowing them. I've owned that sub and also use the KRK 8's and they're great in the studio, but I agree with n2hf1st. Get some loudspeakers for playing parties. Unfortunately you probably wont be able to cover both needs with one set of speakers. |
Many Atia 18.05.2010 | If you want to do small parties and the like, look into a pair of tapco thumps. Don't ever try to play out with monitors like the KRKs - they're great for home use and practicing, but that's about it. |
