VCI-100 Fader Channel mod.
VCI-100 Fader Channel mod. Posted on: 29.06.2010 by Lilliana Perris Hi y'all,You guys remember the mod by Anthony More, where he radically changed his VCI100 into have 3 volume channels by moving the X fader to be an extra channel? He had to get a new case made for the VCI if i am not mistaken. Anyways, is it possible to add more channels to the VCI like Anthony did....but make 4 channels and still have the X Fader? I would obviously have to get a new case that's bigger to have space for it etc. What I want to know is: Can you add more channels to the VCI-100...is it possible or limited by the hardware? Would be cool to have a 4D type thing going.....but still be a VCI? Thanks. | |

Vernon Vanderberg 30.06.2010 | you could essentially wire extra faders to any unused knob. they are all standard 10kohm resistance potentiometers. so pick any one of the unused pots and solder away. still need to do a heavy case mod to make it all sit nice. |
Leeanna Ayla 29.06.2010 | Your pics not working for me. |
Lilliana Perris 29.06.2010 | I see there are a few ideas out there...like this: Would you need 2 VCI mainboards? Is it possible? I know there is other hardware out there that can do this...but it would be nice to stick with the VCI. Just interested. |
