Traktor: Can you colorize song listings in library?
Traktor: Can you colorize song listings in library? Posted on: 09.07.2010 by Misty Birley Longtime DJ just making the switch to computer. I've searched and gotten conflicting answers to this Q. Before I choose Serato or Traktor, I need to know if i can make my individual song listings various colors according to (what I want) genre's. I have confirmed that Serato can do this, but can't figure out if Traktor can. To be clear for example... I want to make all rock songs 'blue', all my disco 'yellow', all my oldies 'red'..... so if I search on 120bpm, the list I get shows me at a glance which songs are in which genre. I might as well throw Virtual DJ in this question too. Any further suggestions welcome. Much appreciation. Alex WCDJ | |

09.07.2010 | I believe Tractor 3 had this feature, but for some reason Traktor Pro dropped it... i sort of miss it... |
09.07.2010 | as far as I know you can't. the first workaround that comes to mind: use genre-based favourite playlists. the second workaround: using a tool like mp3tag, add unicolor covers to your tracks. mp3tag can batch-process so it shouldn't take more than maybe 15 minutes, depending on the size of your library. |
