Re-inforcing an expedit?

Im going to put it together with liquid nails, But what is the best way to attach wood to it i want to put the typical shelf on top and cut it out to make my mixer sit flush, Ive seen pictures of the inside of the wood (its like honeycomb) is it safe to screw plywood onto the back of it and screw the shelf on? or would it be better to attach it with expandable screw or something like that?

ah damn im going to pole mount my monitors and my labtop :P i dont believe some rubber pads would make it sturdy enough maybe if i used some araldite i could stick it on but i dont trust glue as much as i trust screw and the like thanks for the advice might be handy in the future

I've been buying the IKEA tabletops (150x75cm) and 2 adjustable legs since forever... stick 4 rubber pads in the corners of the expedit, place the tabletop on them, adjust the leg height to fit, place gear on top - done. and almost no work involved

however, I keep my stuff in flightcases so fancy dj desk design is not my forte.
