EKS XP5 owners: Easy question
Posted on: 13.07.2010 by Dulce Wanga
Can someone please tell me what the pitch resolution is on Traktor/VirtualDJ's finest pitch setting of +/-6%?

I'm wondering if it's 0.1% like the VCI-100 or 0.02% like the CDJ-400/VCI-300s.

Thanks!

I'm running 3 XP5s and an X1, having a ball with it, using the X1 to browse/load into decks A+B, and I've mapped the "eject" button on the third controller to load into Deck C

Also pre-mapped Deck D, if I decide to get a fourth, or go DVS (I've got a pair of turnies as well) and 2 XP5s (using the supplied EKS midi control panel makes it easy to switch which MIDI channel each XP5 uses - i've got Channel 1=Deck A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D)

They make a great transport/shuttle for DAW programs like Logic too, once mapped

any q's let me know

They should be shipping today from Oregon to me in DC. That's probably at least a week.

I'll try to do something within a month.

I cannot recommend Ty/AGIProDJ.com enough for the purchase of these. I got the TraktorLE version(Bison still available for free online from EKS so it's basically like getting both software possibilities) for $153 each with my DJForums.com account discount of 10%.

Thanks so much for the reply!

Alright I gave in and ordered a pair. Since there aren't many in-depth reviews out there (which is why I had to resort to posting my question in every community on DJing) I'll try to get some pics and a review up.
