Traktor Ready vs Scratch Approved
Posted on: 30.07.2010 by Jacqulyn Shoemo
I'm looking for a mixer that will work well with Traktor (believe functionality of the mixer section of the VCI-100SE) and I've run into the Traktor Ready and Scratch Approved badging, but the Traktor website doesn't really explain the difference in terms that aren't marketing terms. I want to be able to use Traktors on board FX and map some functions so i can browse my library and things like that. Does anyone know what I'm looking for?

Edit: Important to note that I want to scratch and work on turntablest routines, so I'm looking for a scratch mixer that will do the job.

I believe Traktor ready is that it will work with traktor as an external mixer, but will not work with traktor scratch. Traktor Scratch certified is what you want. You could also get an Audio 8 or 4 and any of the Traktor ready mixers will work.
