Traktor LE, Omni Control, Looping

Hello,

I am using Traktor LE with Numark Omni Control. The Omni Control has two buttons for creating loops: LOOP IN and LOOP OUT. Using these two buttons, I can only create loops of minimum of 1 beat. I can see the option of creating loops of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 etc beats on the Traktor LE and I can make the loops by pressing the button on the Traktor LE interface on my computer. However, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do that using the Omni Control.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Thanks!

Yes, I guess you are right. I believe its time to break open the wallet and get Traktor Pro.

hmmmm... then i guess your going to need to upgrade to pro :/
thats all i can say
and this is coming from a long time (1 1/2 years) traktor le user: traktor pro will make everything alot easier and more accurate

I tried that. It doesn't work. Pressing LOOP IN again just creates the starting point of another loop.

oooohhh ok then. well, i doubt this will work, but once you have the 1 beat loop, hit loop in again, it should cut the loop in half, so do that as needed (if it works)

yes, I know that. But the smallest loop I can make is of one beat, that is from one white line to the other. I want to be able to make loops of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 beats, etc. I know it is possible in LE, as I can do it by using the computer interface of Traktor LE. I just can't figure out how to do it using the OmniControl.

you dont have snap and what not because youre using LE

i dont know if you know this, but its best to check now: did you know that you press loop in to set where the start of the loop is and then hit loop out to set the end of the loop
then it will loop untill you hit loop out again

ummm... how do you turn off snap and/or quantize?

i believe turning off snap and/or quantize should be enough but you'll have to be pretty precise with the loops to get them to sound good as they wont snap on the beats anymore...
