dicer with TSPro vs Dicer with Serato
dicer with TSPro vs Dicer with Serato Posted on: 10.07.2010 by Robert Kelton Hi!i'm a Traktor Scratch Pro user. i'm really excited abt the dicer. My question is: if i map the dicer to TSPro, what are the things that i'll be missing, if any, when compared to Serato? For example the loop roll is quite fascinating in serato, will i be able to do this in TSPro? thx! | |

When you exit the loop then it goes to where the playhead is (ie at the begining, almost, of the original loop) with beat masher the music continues on so when you exit you are in some random part of the song. Does dicer land you at the END of the original loop? or is it just a beatmasher or loop cut in 1/2? thanks ST |
12.07.2010 | I got my Dicers in the mail a couple of days ago. All I can say is I love them. |
Scarlett Saupp 12.07.2010 | loop roll should be pretty simple to achieve with them. If you get stuck though, why not download the midifighter mapping and take a look at it? it has a nice loop roll feature, and given the very considerate and complete comments left by the developers it should be a snap to copy to your own mapping. |
Robert Kelton 12.07.2010 | thx for the reply! i downloaded the official dicers mapping for TSPro from novation. in the instruction, it didn't mention anything abt loop roll....sigh... anybody has any experience with dicers for TSPro? thx |
Darryl Landaiche 10.07.2010 | im not sure exactly what the looses might be, i know the main thing that this got me believeing about was loop rolls in serato, wich i now have figured out, if you want to do a loop roll, you need to set an effect bank to advanced and select beatmasher, then you need to make ka button programmed to turn that effect on, and the d/w 100% and how much u want it to roll, 1/8, 1/16 ect, i dont know if the dicer comes with maps for traktor pro but if it does i would imagine they included this, i wouldnt be worried about getting to much loss out of sticking with traktor, and if you do loose anything, you get it back with the insane fx |
