another controller design thread

First off... this thread will get buried and resurface at a later point.. Im in the preproduction phase right now...
The concept is not so much the internal stuff.. I guess thats all obvious at some stage of what goes inside. Im more concerned with making the housing for the controller than I am how it will work.
The only part which may be of interest is that I will infuse it with TrackIR.
I work for a military contractor company which builds input devices, so I can take any 3d model and mill it out of hard durable plastic. A friend of mine is an engineer who can pretty much make anything you can believe of. Im just wanting to find something that can be functional but set up in a very abstract kind of way.
one idea is to build one of these and put a few hundred buttons and sliders into it.

or something like this

or even

I would be able to have the outer brain with a soft thin rubber shell so you can still press the buttons with ease.

In the future with USB 10.0 and safe implants, we will be able to do this. But in my case or rather yours.. Its best for me to keep my thoughts to myself. Djing from the brain could elevate but expose yourself...especially with the elves at the controls

The brain one would be more of a psytrance kind of controller. Something to have out around 4am on the 2nd evening of a festival when the acrid chemical smoke is drifting on the dance floor and dmt pipes are being passed around. Im not really believeing of a universal controller but something designed around manipulating alot of parameters of a vst effect. so the buttons would be values of different settings. have the left side of the brain do different things than the right.

The other ideas above with the head model would have buttons.. but more switches made of medical non sharpened instruments. It would look a bit like something out of hellraiser but in a happy way. Ultimately most of these controllers would be in a installation kind of setting.. but one where the user can tweak things.

The top image with the cutaway of the skin would be the more traditional controller... something in a box shape you can laydown and mix with if your familiar with regular dj mixers.

Regarding the Track IR, this could make it so you could control 3 XY surfaces at once just by the position of your head...
