Soundcards Posted on: 04.09.2010 by Clay Lorow Not that long ago I got my first mixer. Since I don't have enough money to buy players, I'm forced to use it with my PC/laptop. It is an analog mixer, Behringer DJX 750 pro. I have a question about sound cards.At first, I knew that I'm gonna need sound card with two stereo outs, for deck A and deck B. So I came to a solution that I can use two sound cards on my PC. Recently I found out that even one card with 5.1 support is enough. In tractor I just assign one channel to front speaker and the other to rear speakers and it works great! Now, for my laptop I need to find a solution. Is there any point to buy ESI Maya 44 or NI Dj 2, or could I just buy external Creative live 5.1? What are the pros and cons? | |

| Clay Lorow 15.09.2010 | Sorry friend, I got a bit lost here... What are MPB and MBP? Sorry for my lack of knowledge for terms... And about the drivers, generally, is it better to use 32bit or x64 win7 for dj-ing (traktor, NI drivers, ASIO and such)??? |

Audio2DJ is best selection if you USE traktor as your main app and it can use with MPB too...less setting .... and U can run traktor with another NI software at the same time ... work good and u get 3 apps...come with that kore2 selection,Traktor LE,Guitar go(never try it) Kore2 that come with NIA2DJ is have alot of sound ..very useful.... traktor LE useless Don't believe about audio sampling rate too much coz' I know you always set to 44100 Today NI driver is work best ON win7 (5.5 is no lag don't need to setting lower than that) Don't buy a MBP ...Keep your money to pay for Traktor s4....I believe it's a better choice .. |

| Clay Lorow 13.09.2010 | Thanks guys for every thing. @ dstep that is nice offer but, I live in Serbia and it is a common thing that something "get lost" in transport from outside the country, usually on border control, if you know what I mean. :-) For now, I had two offers,here in my country, one maya 44 usb and one audio 2 dj, for 70 eur each. Now my only dilemma is should I buy new one for 110 eur or used one for 70? |

| Ciara Cuttill 13.09.2010 | Audio2DJ more bang for your buck, no needed ASIO program to incoporate two individual 5.1 soundcards, you can the same sound of an Audio8 with the Audio2 since they both use Cirrus Logic converters ... BTW i own one, save yourself the hassle, THEY ARE LEGIT!!! |

| Clay Lorow 05.09.2010 | Well, like anything else in this world, value for money ratio is the same...I'm verrrrrrry low on budget, thats why I ask this kind of question. Audio 2 dj cost about 110eur in my country, which is about 2/3 of a price payed for my mixer (160eur). I would definitely go for a used one, but can't find them anywhere. Thats why I ask about using 5.1 cards for this purpose,since I can get 5.1 live usb for about 30eur. |

| Gilma Marchini 04.09.2010 | Maya has horrid quality and build, I own one. Production cards are bulky and pointless, I own a Fast Track Pro... The Audio 2 DJ is smaller, louder, and better in just about every way for your needs. Don't beat around the bush trying to get more bang for your buck on this, it ended up just costing me more (the cost of all three of those soundcards). Just get an Audio 2 DJ. |
