Kontol X1 owners. Do you have faulty FX knobs too?

Last week I had read on the NI community s where a few others had an issue with the FX knobs that worked well until ~75% rotation and stopped sending data until ~85%. This fault causes erratic behavior w/in Traktor's FX. Lo and behold, as this was the first thing I checked today, the same issue exists on my unit. Pretty disappointed as the unit would be perfect for me when I go overseas and was actually looking at purchasing another. Had I not read about the issue the fault may not have been detected for a little while as i'm not an FX genie.

Just curious if anyone else has the same problem or perhaps not even noticed it.

Hopefully this wont be an issue with the s4

Yeah, recal does not work. I've monitored the midi signal in midiox and no signal is sent ~75% rotation. Also some signal seems to "bleed" into other CC causing them to jitter. This is obviously a fault and a good number of others have the same issue.

EDIT:
One thing is the behavior is dependent on what value each CC is at. For instance, If all CC are at 0 I am able to turn one CC w/o any jitter. If some CC are not at 0 and I turn Dry/Wet CC parameter 3 jumps around. If all CC are at 50% (centered) Dry/Wet sticks at 75% and jumps to 85%. CC midi values in this controller are somehow getting crossed by perhaps a bad board/chip or software.

Guys have you tried to recalibrate the unit? you can achieve this by going to the setup, then the kontrol x1 click on recalibrate and its going to ask move all the knobs to the left, center, right. and that should do the trick. my x1 was actiing up and this was that fixed that worked for me.

@ oskars

Did you ever receive your replacement? I submitted a ticket to NI 3 days ago and have yet to get a response other than the autorespond with ticket number.

Yeah, as for the jittery FX, I get slight movement on parameter 3 when moving parameter knob 2 at ~50% on FX unit 1 (advanced mode). This is troubling, haven't had the X1 for 12 hours and i'm boxing it back up for a refund. I get the feeling this is a common problem and if it is widespread doesn't bode well for the more complex, highly anticipated S4 controller. I'm not casting aspersions on NI but a basic QA/QC should detect faults like this.

When all my effect knobs but one are at 100% the last knob will make ALL THE OTHER knobs jitter at about 80% when I touch it.

Very wierd.

My A+B X1 has jittery effects knobs unless they're all at 100%. No gaps but past a certain point they start sending a bit of unsolicited, around-the-current-value data.
I believe it's starting to spread to the collection browsing knobs. I can see the selected track jump sometimes.
It was ok to use but after talking to NI support about other issues I believe I'll finally have it replaced.

No problems on my C+D X1
