Delay Pedals
Delay Pedals Posted on: 04.10.2010 by Edgar Freeze Anyone else on here DJ with outboard effects? I know traktor and serato have those built in but I still like to rock a delay pedal sometimes to get better dub trails. I decided to break down using each of the stereo delays we carry at the store I work at in an article for our blog. Those interested check it out. Any input appreciated. http://www.proaudiostar.com/djing-with-a-delay-pedal-2 Interesting side topic, are outboard effects units obsolete now with effects built in to software that can be controlled via controller soundcards? I know a few dudes who still love their Pinoeer EFX's. | |

Edgar Freeze 04.10.2010 | Mini Kaoss Pad looks pretty cool. I just got my hands on the Kaoss Pad Entrancer for the group I play with. It does video effects as well couldn't be more psyched! Built in effects for Serato/Traktor don't really embrace XY possibilities. They're of course mapable but perhaps getting busy on the XY pad is where external effects is necessary? |
Annalisa Shogren 04.10.2010 | I have thought about getting a mini KP, but I'd have to record mixes externally for that... Might do one day though. Great pieces of kit. |
Dana Ordinario 04.10.2010 | Awesome article I have thought about trying something similar for a while never had access to the hardware to do it thou. |
