Orpha Perroni 12.10.2010 | so since i like the 900's i believe i should go for an s4 with cdj 900s |

Christina Fallo 07.10.2010 | If you go the CDJ root, get yourself a Xone:92. The outputs on the 800 are terrible. On the 92 you get awesome sounding filters and 4 band eq. Atop that, the 92 is cheaper. |

Leeanna Ayla 07.10.2010 | If you really want CDJ's don't forget you can use them with an S4. |
Leigh Derbyshire 07.10.2010 | Well you also have to have to have a laptop if you want to use the S4, so that raises the price a bit. To get something even to an S4 you'd probably be looking at 2 CDJ 2000s (See: Waveforms) rather than 900s and obviously that's a lot of money. If I were going to embark on a CDJ based setup I'd get something closer to CDJ 200s/400s and then a fancy mixer (ecler evo 4/5 anyone?). That said unless you really like CDJs or those sexy sexy ecler mixers (or ugly A&H ones... well the black ones aren't that bad but the silver ones.... ew) then you are probably better off with a S4. Even CDJ 2000s don't have all of the deck/sample controls that the S4 does sans the fancy jog wheels (bigger and adjustable... IMO not necessary) and the only thing that comes close to traktor's FX are the highest end of high end club mixers. TL;DR unless you are made of cash cash money, then get the S4. |
Leeanna Ayla 07.10.2010 | 2 CDJ900's - $2598 DJM800 - $1699 Traktor Kontrol S4 $899 |
Cristian Carmona 07.10.2010 | CDJ+DJM combo would be sick |
Jacqulyn Shoemo 08.10.2010 | i don't know that you can compare the 2, a CDJ900 and DJM800 are going to be much for expensive the the S4. |
Janyce Henningson 07.10.2010 | Yes Go to your local store and try them out |
