Need Advice : VCI-100SE or Dj Tech Kontrol One
Posted on: 09.10.2010 by Arie Floro
Hello

I'm going to buy my first midi controller, i read a lot of reviews and regarding to my budget i choose 2 of them : VCI-100SE and Dj Tech Kontrol One.
Please advise me which to buy, because i really like an idea of Kontrol One, but i'm not sure in it's build quality, jog wheels and etc compared to VCI-100SE.
Also i'm interested if i can use 2 pcs of Kontrol One with simple analogue 2 channel mixer and NI Audio DJ2.

Thanks in advance

PS : Sorry for my bad English

I already have analogue mixer, so only thing i need is a sound card, NI Audio2DJ for example

I have 2 dj tech Kontrol one's and have had no problems with them at all in traktor pro. The jog wheels have always been spot on. Overall the product has been easy to use and have given me zero problems. I used to have a vci 100 and personally i prefer the Kontrol One to the vci. If there is anything else in particular you would like to know about them let me know.

Thanks for replies
I also believe that VCI is better choice, but if someone has experience with Kontrol One, please write more detailed review of this device.

Thanks

PS :any ideas about VMS4 ? build quality, traktor compatibility, faders, jogs, soundcard ? ...

I believe there's issues with the DJ tech controller jog wheels working correctly in Traktor. The VCI-100 is near legendary with how well it works with traktor. There was on eposted today in the for sale section here for $350 US.
