Recording w/ audio 4 and traktor pro?
Posted on: 14.11.2010 by Perla Frymyer
Hey I bought traktor scratch duo and will be upgrading to pro shortly. However upgrading only gets you the software and not the audio 8. so my question is how will I record using scratch pro, the audio 4, and an external mixer? I also have a crap mixer that only has the line/phono inputs and one output. So I dont know what to do exactly besides buy a new mixer and the audio 8....

Buying TSP is agood choice though especially with the prices atm
lol yea and that solution wont work for me because I dont have booth out or record out on my pos mixer. I admit I do need a new mixer but getting tsp and recording internal with the audio 8 is the cheapest option atm.

You can record internal however the way I see it in my head after the music is recorded and sent out to the mixer I'm then altering it before it gets to the speakers. So whats recorded and whats actually playing would be two different things... If that makes sense lol

How exactly would I line into the laptop from rca cables? then once I do would I be able to line out again so I could hear the music? my mixer only has one output

Yeah I got it now. You can get RCA to 1/8 mini jacks cables. With one out on the mixer you would need a splitter on each RCA out
