$700 budget mixer recommendations
$700 budget mixer recommendations Posted on: 29.12.2010 by Gilma Marchini Looking for an analogue mixer, my budget is $700ish. Any recommendations? Requirements are fx send/return with gain, likes are more than 2 channels (not necessary), and my style is y-cadets and house music (no scratching).Current Dn-x600 and ecler nuo 2.0 are my two choices, looking to not go too far past 700. Rane's 56 seemed too hip-hop/scratch for me. Any thoughts? Edit: Nuo 3.0, my bad, on iphone ;D | |

Karolis Petrauskas 31.12.2010 | Great choice..I used to have one and its excellent. |
Gilma Marchini 30.12.2010 | After some deep thought and skipping stones in ponds I just ordered the Ecler Nuo 3.0. It haves all the controls I need, the Fx send and Returns I need, and If I ever need more than 2 channels the 3rd would be all I need. The Xone:42 was a good thought, but size, features, and several other things were just overkill (for a home setup even the sound quality is overkill). Thanks for all the input everyone ^.^ |
Candace Carmouche 30.12.2010 | for 100 more you could get an a&h xone:42 at best buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Allen+%2...eath&cp=1&lp=3 finance it they have 18 months no interest right now. |
Karolis Petrauskas 30.12.2010 | Maybe do a bit more homework on denon. I had a DNX300 and my eq faders wouldn't work properly, I had to take the thing apart and resolder it. Also the faders would bleed all the time and I would need to clean them frequently. If you want it def go for it but be aware of potential issues. I believe I'd get a DDM4000 over the DN X600. Add a soundcard and you are golden...Read this: http://community .speakerplans.com/inside...217_page1.html |
Gilma Marchini 30.12.2010 | I'm going to get the DN-X600. Simply because it's newer than most of the mixers and I would like to try the midi functionality to mix video in a separate application alongside Traktor. I'll make a new thread for any interesting results ^.^ Aiming to use launchpad for triggering next vid, and mixing/FX with the mixer |

Gilma Marchini 30.12.2010 | I have a KP3, so lack of FX aren't that big of a deal, although they aren't a bother. Really digging the idea of the DN-X600, might pick that up O.o |
Ofelia Schraner 29.12.2010 | Zone 42,'not many effects, just a hpf,lpf and bandpass filter |
Leigh Derbyshire 29.12.2010 | I'd go for the nuo 3.0. |
