Recommendations on a keybard/synth for me
Recommendations on a keybard/synth for me Posted on: 06.01.2011 by Lana Felicien I'm looking to buy a keyboard/synth and want some opinions. The Roland Gaia SH-01 is what I'm believeing about getting at the moment, for its simplicity (with nobs and sliders controlling most parameters). But what you you believe about just a solution like Reaktor with something like an M-Audio keyboard controller. I have only used a handfull of free Reaktor plug-ins, so I don't know how much to expect from it from the Komplete 7 pack. I know Reaktor will have more possibilities than the Roland, but what would you rather use? Physically makings the sounds for ease, or digitally making them for beastly possibilities? | |

Odell Bachrach 06.01.2011 | Both. No, really. The beauty about MIDI is you can use the Roland for what it is, a nice little synth, and also use it to control VST's (I should say virtual instruments). IMHO pick up the Roland (or any synth that you like) and play with it until you feel you need more(get bored like I do lol). Then start using it with virtual instruments. The only thing you will need is a midi/usb adaptor and cables. Chris |
