NI Virtual Deck Controller....
NI Virtual Deck Controller.... Posted on: 07.01.2011 by Ignacio Rutner I would like to see a dedicated "Deck" from NI. Something I can control any of the 4 decks with, FX control and the browse knob. Maybe with a built in soundcard so I can plug into an external mixer. Something like this but maybe "better" Thoughts? | |

With HID it's pretty precise (0.01-0.02 BPM increments in 8%). Deck focus could be placed vertically to the left or square shaped around the jog (makes more sense if you are used to traktor's layout) |
Maisie Marras 09.01.2011 | i believe 4 deck capability would be great, but not practical. (im still saying it should have it) all every knob should be an endless encoder. it would also need to be larger to have 2 more effects units. and i agree that the pitch knob should also be an endless encoder BUT these better be some tight precise knobs. iv played with some (not the s4's) where you can turn the knob about 1-2% worth before the knob would turn the metal prong its attached to a motorized platter would also be great, but realistically, that would add cost to a controller i could also see as kind of expensive

Josh Villavaso 08.01.2011 | that would be pretty epic if NI made something like that, yeah the s4 is cool, but this would be the more traditional club set up and wouldn't take as much room plus full sized jog wheels on any controller would make me happy lol i'm sure if NI put their minds to it, they could release something pretty epic |
Lashay Walchak 08.01.2011 | Motorized platter while Ur at it. |
Shay Wyche 08.01.2011 | If you build it, they will come. I felt just like Kevin Costner there........ eugh! |
Dillon Paganini 08.01.2011 | this is pretty cool! kind of like a numark V7. Two of these and a mixer would be dope! |
Nedra Fresneda 08.01.2011 | endless encoders with led feedback for fx (knobs update themselves when fx switching), the only thing I miss from my apc setup. ps: you are missing the loop recorder |
Ignacio Rutner 08.01.2011 | I would prefer an endless encoder for the pitch fader. Much more precise control than a fader and easily switchable to multiple decks. And it takes up less room. |
Ninfa Larranaga 08.01.2011 | i dig |
