Lighting Desks DMX > Midi or Midi out
Lighting Desks DMX > Midi or Midi out Posted on: 02.02.2011 by Rolanda Clodfelder Just looking through the range of reasonably priced lighting desks with uber numbers of faders and buttons and a better build quality by miles than the majority of midi controllers.I know some DO have midi out, but generally seems to be limited to scene selection rather than transmitting the fader data. What I was believeing is that the likes of complex macros could most likely be triggered from a pre-programmed desk at the touch of a button - interesting ? I have seen some elaborate DMX > Midi convertors but in the $300 bracket. Any other options out there maybe a USB > Dmx dongle and software to convert the signal to midi. Ideas people Ideas BTW .. some of the desks in question (all under 200 bucks!) http://www.thomann.de/ie/elation_stage_setter_24.htm http://www.thomann.de/ie/showtec_lit...er_dmx_512.htm http://www.thomann.de/ie/botex_dc_24...or_b_stock.htm | |
