its labeled #4 they are hexagonal buttons? idk

the other things are minimoog voyagers, Behringer BCR2000s, Lemur touchscreens, and I read that they use Ableton live

none of it's plugged in.. they have a walkman underneath and they just play a tape. :-)

It's not the Manta. The Manta uses cap-sense "buttons" and the "buttons" on that device are physical.

It looks to me like they're actually LIGHTS (as stated before). Look at this picture...

I actually posted a few days ago wondering if anyone managed to use lighting desks as midi controllers....having used some BIG ones in the past, they offer a bucketload of faders / buttons for little money.

you CAN get conversion boxes like this one and I believe the behringer eurolight can be used as a midi controller out of the box!

http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=24306 .. like to hear more

I believe DP might be using a custom version harmonic midi controller like the Axis 64 .. never seen a lighting controller like that and the hex pattern makes sence for midi notes

They literally are lights. Possibly "Color Kinetics LED Colorblast 12" but I'm not too sure.

You could be right Chris. I am not that aware of DMX to MIDI conversions.

yeah i thought there would be a doepher in there somewhere! but as mentioned they're dmx, although i remember reading that they also used ableton to control lighting by converting midi to dmx etc..

Oh I wasn't sure just never have seem them before. It's amazing set up they use including the BCR2000s and the minimoogs, I thought their live set up would be something much different.

DMX controllers, as far as I know, you won't be able to use it for MIDI.
